Indian Railways announces Holi Special Trains to Ease Holiday Rush! Check out the Full List here

To handle the rush of travelers during the upcoming holiday season, particularly Holi 2023, Indian Railways has announced its plan to run Holi 2023 Special Trains on various routes. The Railways aims to manage the surge of passengers during the Holi season.

The festival of Holi is set to be celebrated on March 8, and the Indian Railways foresees a rise in travel demand around this period. It is important to note that these Holi Special trains will operate in different states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, and other areas.

Patna-Anand Vihar (03255) will run from March 9 to March 24, as announced by the East Central Railway through their official Twitter handle. The Public Relations Officer of ECR, Birendra Kumar, also confirmed the schedule of the train, stating that it will depart from Patna every Thursday and Sunday at 10:20 pm and arrive at Anand Vihar the following day at 3 pm.

List of Holi special trains to be run by Railways: –

• Starting from March 9 and until March 23, the 03255 Patna-Anand Vihar Superfast Holi Special train will leave Patna on every Thursday and Sunday at 10:00 pm, and will reach Anand Vihar at 3:00 pm the next day after making halts at several stations.
• The 03256 train will depart from Anand Vihar on every Friday and Monday at 11:30 pm from March 10 to March 24, 2023 and will arrive in Patna at 5:20 pm the following day.
• Between March 10 to March 24, the 05271 Muzaffarpur-Yesvantpur Holi Special train will leave Muzaffarpur every Friday at 3:30 pm and will make stops at several stations before arriving at Yesvantpur on Sunday at 4:30 pm.
• On March 9 and March 16, 2023, the Barauni-Pune Weekly Holi Special train departing at 12:10 pm will arrive at Pune around 10:30 pm the following day after making stops at multiple stations.
• The train number 05280 from Pune to Barauni will depart at 5:00 am on March 11 and March 18, 2023, Saturday, and will arrive in Barauni at 1:00 pm.
• From March 13 to March 27, 2023, every Monday at 7:30 am, the 05272 Yesvantpur-Muzaffarpur Weekly Holi Special train will depart and will make stops at different stations before reaching Muzaffarpur at noon on Wednesday.
